I want to preface this by saying I have already been to see a doctor, I'll get into the details on that later.

I'm a young college kid, living with my parents instead of complaining about how much dept I'll be in by taking out loans to live on a campus that's a short drive from my house. I've never been sexually active, but for at least a couple years I've masturbated typically once a day, sometimes more. I have had problems of blood in semen before but those were easily resolved and unrelated, so I won't go into details on those.

This all started on January 7th. Easy Sunday morning, nothing to do, got up and masturbated. When I came, I experienced a sharp pain and didn't release as much as I normally do. I figured I was just masturbating too much, as in the weeks leading up to then I had gone an average of probably 9+ times a week. I gave it a few days rest, then tried again. This time had a similar pain, but worse. I can't recall exactly what happened but I'm pretty sure there was a bit of blood in my ejaculate during that time, so I decided to take some time off of masturbating. It probably would have worked better if I could actually refrain from masturbating. Instead I was effectively edging myself, some days more than others, nothing too extreme, usually stopping long before the point I would actually cum.

At the end of January when I had stopped feeling the occasional short, mild pain that I sometimes had towards the end of my masturbation sessions, I decided to try cumming again. It probably didn't do me well that I was so anxious about what might happen. My heart rate was higher and I was worried about some impending pain, but in the end I came and it was moderately okay. It felt like there was some kind of blockage going on that's hard to explain. It felt like something was stuck in the tube, but I noticed nothing unusual during urination. I figured I was just getting used to orgasms again so I wrote it off. I did the same twice more over the next two days, and it was about the same. I was getting a little less nervous about what might happen. Ejaculation was similar, and again nothing unusual during urination. Then the fourth time something different happened. I would say it's probably the most painful and uncomfortable thing I've ever been through involving my genitals.

When I ejaculated, I had the most intense pain I've ever felt and I knew something was going wrong. There was basically no cum, and instead a large(8-10mm long, 2-3mm wide) piece of dark red matter came out, and not easily. After that, another smaller piece of hardened blood came out, but I could tell that there was still more. For a while after that, periodically I would feel something in my urethra and it would slowly make its way out, smaller globs of blood. I went to urinate as an attempt to flush out the system. It took me a while to calm down enough to even be able to, but I did and more, still smaller pieces came out regularly. I think it was somewhere around 2 hours before I stopped having the globs come out(separate from the urination). When I went to bed that night I couldn't lay on my side or really any way at all without having a short, intense pain every now and then. Over the next few days I still had small red particles in my urine. Notably(?) they seemed more dense/plentiful right after I woke up. There wasn't any pain or discomfort while that happened, and they weren't huge. Maybe 1/2 a millimeter wide or less, a few of them coming out when I urinated.

I made an appointment for as soon as I could, and stopped masturbating entirely. The appointment got pushed back so I ended up going earlier today. I told my doctor about the situation, and that there was some discomfort in my right testicle but not the left. She listed the problem as epididymitis, and is suggested I take antibiotics for it for 10 days, then waiting a few days longer than that before masturbating. At that point if there was still any complication they would recommend that I see a urologist. So, still no masturbation, going to see where this goes.

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this or been diagnosed with epididymitis? I'm trying not to worry about potential outcomes of this, just trying to tackle the problem. I tried looking up the problem before I managed to get an appointment and I really couldn't find anything. Either I'm searching the wrong thing or there just isn't information out there. Is there a go-to place to look for issues like this? Sorry for making this such a long post, just felt like I needed to explain everything. I'm really just trying to see if anyone's had this kind of thing happen to them or what they would do in a situation like this, apart from the obvious of seeing a doctor as soon as possible.
