jfc this thread is a dumpster fire.
Hey, I thought this was Trump's America. Doesn't that mean we can talk about whatever we want now? Nazis are getting butthurt in this thread and reporting all the comments talking about punching them. Go away Nazis.
edit By popular request, here are the reports.

Great, now he probably has even more brain damage.
Here is the video, by way of r/SeattleWA
Is this real life now in the US? People wearing swastika arm bands? Asking from Germany...
Looks like he's just taking a power nap
Some additional context - the McDonald's at Westlake in downtown Seattle is an absolute shitshow, any hour of the day or night. Someone getting punched out for any reason, ranging from stealing someone's weed to shitting on the sidewalk, is not unusual. The only thing making this unusual is that the (probably homeless and/or mentally ill) racist man is wearing a swastika.
To the people getting all butthurt about his first amendment rights being violated - this kind of shit happens constantly on this block, and when you act aggressively and make people nervous, you are liable to hit, probably by someone very irritable, paranoid, and high.
If you try to pull shit like that in Germany, the government will give you a very bad time. Like Holocaust denier grandmas end up in prison and Chinese tourists making the Hitler salute get hefty fines.
Edit: dropped a word.
I used to hear war stories from Sharps in LA when I was young. They would "trunk" Nazis and then dump them in then ghetto or desert.
So... what happened?
(check my bias at the door: Left wing (VERY anti-nazi), but I believe in the rule of law)
Surely these 2 things aren't exclusive:
Wearing a swastika armband is a dick move and is likely to get you punched
Punching people is illegal and is likely to get you arrested
Surely if someone believes in the top point strongly enough (I hate nazi's so much I'm willing to punch them when I see them), any action they take (e.g. punching them) is done in the knowledge that they're willing to be arrested to do it. They feel the need to punch nazi's so strongly that they are willing to be arrested in order to do it. That's much braver than the state absolving you for punching someone in the street that you (and the state) disagree with.
The law is blind, and rightfully so. Sometimes it's wrong, and it should be changed. There are mechanisms to do that.
Sometimes, we feel strongly enough about something to break it, too. But part of the strength of that message is being willing to take the consequences of breaking it (strikes, or civil rights marches, come to mind).
Punch the nazi. Get arrested. Go to trial. Agree that you punched them. Say why you did it. Hell, even do time for assault if you have to. Either see it through or don't do it, but you can't half-ass it.
Technically it's assault and technically illegal and wrong but uh... a Nazi got laid out, I'm not gonna cry about it.
I guess those "race war" scenarios work out better when you're in your Mom's basement, daydreaming about them.
Nazi punks fuck off
A lot of people not from Seattle have no clue where this Nazi found himself. Dude wanted to get his ass beat for attention. Seriously, if you're not from this area you don't really understand the relevance of how this "random" Nazi just happened to find himself spewing Nazi hate on the most notorious corner in Downtown Seattle for basically everything this Nazi is against. Look up 3rd and Pine and try to tell me it's a coincidence Nazi ended up picking a fight with some black dudes in front of that McDs. He was 100% asking for it then...regardless of whether any of you think it's illegal or wrong.
Edit: not to mention the amount of police and cameras at that location. He knew he'd get filmed. He knew police would be there to see it. This Nazi pos is provoking us.
It's like that idiot after Charlottesville who ran off freaking out and was stripping off his clothes.
When interviewed he said 'sometimes it's nice to say white power. You know what I mean?'
I guess 4channers are learning bot everyone thinks it's just a joke brah.
Hold Up! Let me put my surprised face on
No biggest spit in the face of veterans that to wear shit like this
Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Also who are these fucks that think that nazi bullshit is ok? We fought that war already, it was a conclusive decision. Between the nazi's and the confederate south will rise again types they just keep trying to fight a war their side lost.
He's wearing it on the wrong arm
What guy? I only see a pile of trash??
Walking around with a Swastika in Seattle is akin to walking around with an Elect Hillary shirt in deep Mississippi.
Punching Nazis is more American than apple pie!
Anyone have the part of the video where he allegedly threatens someone? The only part which I saw was him talking politics with a dude and then just gets hit in the face mid conversation lol.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
There is no free speech issue here you fucking mooks. People get hit all the time for saying all sorts of shit. Free speech limits the government's ability to prosecute speech. Anyone hitting anyone else is just assault, justified or not.
I'm all for hearing out peoples opinions and what not, but if you're wearing a swastika patch I don't need to hear anything coming out of your mouth except teeth.
Talk shit, get hit.
The video made it look like a simple case of assault.
I am not one to root for violence but I can't bring myself to feel bad for this fellow.
Can someone explain why people are trying to be nazis?
He got knocked the fuck out. Deservedly so. People who claim the Nazi way of life are traitors to America, just like Confederates. You wanna proudly proclaim your treason? Fine. Expect to get your ass kicked.
You know what's really scary? When Buzz Aldrin punched that moon landing denier in the face Reddit loved it, nobody had a problem with him getting assaulted for his beliefs. I guarantee you if this was a middle eastern guy with an ISIS flag advocating sharia in America zero people would have a problem with him getting punched in the face. Yet an actual Nazi gets punched in the face and people are all 'you can't just hit people who disagree with you'.
We live in interesting times.
To all those crying about free speech, where were you yesterday when protests were being suppressed by police? It's fine if the government control when and where you can express your free speech, and can decide to start beating people with sticks and lobbing tear gas if you start to block the road.
But oh, supporting an ideology that explicitly calls for the extermination of a race? One of America's greatest enemies?
Where's all this free speech shit when Colin Kaepernick can't get a job because he dared to kneel during the national anthem? Where's all this concern for free speech when protesters are run over? It's not here on reddit, because when that shit happens all you hear is that they were "asking for it".
What lives in your heart that you see this and your first instinct is to defend him? You don't think a man dressed a nazi in public might have said or done something? Or you think he supports the holocaust, but also supports being polite in public?
Free speech is suppressed every day by the US government, and it isn't the free speech of assholes either. Yet where is the same outrage? Why are there so many people in this thread that don't seem to care about politics or free speech unless it's a Nazi involved, and THEN they suddenly jump up to defend THEIR free speech.
Where was this outrage when Occupy protesters were illegally detained to break up their protest, because it was too effective? Why were they required to have policy initiatives more indepth than the President? Why isn't everyone upset about the Dakota Pipeline?
Yeah, I think I've worked out the reason you only care about Nazis.
Guys, this is serious. I really hope that the guy who knocked out that nazi scum didn't hurt his hand.
The only good nazi is a dead nazi
If you don't wanna get punched maybe you shouldn't advocate ethnic cleansing and genocide?
It's got to suck to be this stupid.
I visited Seattle for the first time in July for a hackathon. I spent a Saturday morning waiting in a Starbucks for the doors to open for my event... And then a guy walks in. He has a swatztika with skulls in it tattooed on his fucking leg and is wearing shorts. I wanted to puke. I am former IDF, fierce Jew and proud to stand against hatred.
I pointed it out to a guy next to me to just verify that what I am seeing is correct... This guy next to me DEFENDED him. I was mortified.
It amazes me that Nazis are a thing now, it's just so bizarre and has nothing to do with this country, we kicked the shit out of them years ago. I'd be interested knowing more about this guy if he's an actual Nazi fanboy loser, or just another one of many people dressing up to project an image and rile people up and not actually like that.
I also don't understand why these people get so much attention. It's a very small insignificant amount of losers, screw them, don't give then the attention.
What did this guy really think was going to happen if he started yelling hate at people. Nazi's are fucking stupid.
Shit thing is he'll wake up from this and think "those fucking @$&# did this to me" and hate even more. Hell never see that he was the one instigating and threatening.
Advocating genocide isn't exactly wholesome why the fuck is everyone all about defending the goddamn nazi?
One side of me says this is wrong. But so is being a Nazi. So I say punch the fucker.
I believe it's Seattle because it looks wet.
Oh, and, ahem, "I bet he did not foresee that occurring!!"
The only good Nazi is a dead one.
I guess he did Nazi that coming.
Is it just me or does the garbage around his head make you think of the stars circling cartoon characters' heads when they get hit on the head with an anvil?
I've read practically all the comments in this thread. I've come to a conclusion.
I respect you and I respect your opinion. However, fly or wear the Nazi insignia and not only is your opinion invalid but you're my sworn enemy.
My grandparents and my great uncles did not die for nothing. They fought this evil in their time. I will fight it in mine.
Edit: to the people saying im inciting violence and about my relatives having views that I'd disagree with today. First. No I'm not and you missed my point entire. Second. No shit. It was a different time. Still they fought on the side of righteousness and YOU should be grateful for that. It's why you're here and allowed to say what you say. Happy Monday everybody.
Edit to add: clarification: "fight it in mine." No I haven't served and chances are the majority of everybody here hasn't either. I respect those that have and hank you tremendously for your service. Who are you to judge? I go protest in my hometown of NYC and call my senators. I publicly defend minority friends of mine. I've taken a few in when they couldn't get home. I've brought 3 to the hospital because of assault. I'm not looking for a pat on the back. I'm out here on the street voicing what I believe in and defending those who can't defend themselves because of their fear of what would happen to them if they do with certain policies said to being put in place.
It is 2017 and a guy like trump is in the White House, with ties to Russia, and pandering to a racist and 'white nationalist' base. Next thing you know I hear people defending, actually defending! the 'rights' of nazis. It doesnt take a huge knowledge of history to know that this is how it starts, people. My parents fought them before. I will happily fight them again. Millions died stopping them once. Never again.
I don't think some people know what a "sucker punch" is.
He was looking dead straight in the eyes of the guy who knocked him out.
That's not a sucker punch, it's bad form. Keep your hands up dumbass.
It's like people wear swastikas and think they won't get the shit kicked out of them.
I just can't comprehend how anyone would say "hey, wearing a nazi flag around my arm is a good thing". Like, do they not realize the history behind the Nazis? Have they not watched Indiana jones and many other movies where Nazis are evil villains? Did they not have relatives that fought and or lived through a war started by Nazis?
I just can't bring myself to understand how fucking stupid you need to be to wake up one morning and say "yup, this is what I do now"
Eliza Dushku says she was molested during the production of "True Lies" by the stunt coordinator, a guy who still works in Hollywood and most recently did the stunts for "Blade Runner 2049" and "Furious 7"
I’m sitting in Starbucks and a bunch of cops are here too. This guy parks in a handicap spot and has his kid run in to pickup their drinks. As the guy is backing out 2 cops run out and give him a ticket
